A three (03) day Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) winter follow-up program concluded at Talcher Thermal on 31.12.2022. The workshop started on 27th December 2022 with 97 girls from nearby Government Schools.

Rolling out the initiative on 27th December 2022, Sri Goutam Deb, Executive Director Talcher Thermal said the company is conducting the GEM winter follow-up programme for the first time which is in continuation of 04 weeks long GEM programme held during summer vacation.

Earlier, a batch comprising of 109 girls of age group 10-12 years were shortlisted from nearby Government Schools. The winter workshop engaged students in a refresher course on English, Science, Maths, Sports and Co-curricular activities such as drawing, painting, skits etc.

Sri Goutam Deb, ED-TTPS praised the team and thanked Sagarika Ladies Club, NTPC-TTPS, parents of GEM participants, teachers for their support.
